Conversation Search

Find conversations and messages with text search and practical filters.

Use search to find a conversation from a phrase the visitor or operator used, then narrow the result set with the filters available in the dashboard.

Search conversations

Search from the conversation list when you remember a word or phrase but not the visitor or conversation ID. Convor returns matching conversations and keeps the most relevant context available so you can open the right thread quickly.

Useful filters include conversation status, assigned operator, and date range. Combine them when a common phrase returns too many results.

Search within a conversation

When you already have the correct conversation open, search inside that thread to jump to matching messages. This is useful for long-running conversations, order numbers, error text, or details mentioned earlier in the exchange.

Search is case-insensitive for normal use. Prefer distinctive words, customer references, or short phrases over generic terms such as “help”.

Practical examples

  • Search for an order number to find a purchase-related conversation.
  • Add an Open status filter when you only need unresolved requests.
  • Limit the date range when a visitor has contacted you many times.
  • Search inside the selected conversation for a product name or error message before asking the visitor to repeat it.

API access

If your backend needs programmatic search, use the customer API rather than copying request formats from this feature guide. The generated API reference is the source of truth for currently published routes, authentication, parameters, and response schemas.
