PATCH/api/conversations/{id}/language

Sets a manual visitor-language override for one conversation. Send null to return to the widget/browser language fallback. Automatic detection never overwrites a manual override.

Endpoint requirements

Credentials: Use either Bearer API key or X-API-Key header.
Required scope: conversations:write
Module: Automation & API module (automation_api)
Organization and site scope: Requests can access only resources owned by the authenticated organization. The API does not reveal whether an identifier belongs to another organization or site.
Retry behavior: Idempotent write: Retrying with the same inputs has the same effect as the original request. The response may show the resource's current state.
