The Google Analytics 4 integration lets Convor send chat interaction events directly to your GA4 property via the Measurement Protocol API. Track conversations, message volume, AI handoffs, and more without any client-side tagging changes.
Prerequisites
- A Google Analytics 4 property (Universal Analytics is not supported)
- The Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXXXXX) from your GA4 property settings
- An API Secret created in the GA4 Admin → Data Streams → Measurement Protocol → API Secrets
Info
The Measurement Protocol API Secret is different from your Google API key. Create it in GA4 Admin → Data Streams → select your stream → Measurement Protocol → Create. Do NOT share this secret publicly.
Setup
- In your Convor dashboard, open Integrations → Google Analytics.
- Enter your Measurement ID (e.g., G-ABC123DEF4).
- Enter the API Secret from your GA4 Measurement Protocol configuration.
- Select which events you want to track.
- Click Test to send a test event and verify the connection.
- Click Save.
Tip
Events appear in your GA4 property within 24 hours under Events → DebugView (real-time). Standard reports update within 24-48 hours.

Troubleshooting
- Events not appearing in GA4: Verify your Measurement ID format starts with G- and check DebugView for real-time events
- Test connection fails: Check that your API Secret matches the one created in GA4 Admin → Data Streams → Measurement Protocol
- Missing events: Ensure the events you expect are enabled in Convor's integration settings
- API errors: GA4 Measurement Protocol has a 25 events per second limit per property. Convor rate-limits to 100 events per minute to stay within this limit
