Start a helpful conversation at the right moment without interrupting every visitor.
Open Automation → Triggers to invite a visitor based on a useful signal: time on page, a visited URL, a first visit, exit intent, or a combined proactive invitation. Good triggers answer the question a visitor is likely to have next.
The list shows each trigger's type, matching condition, and active state. Disable a trigger while you change its conditions or message so visitors do not see a half-finished invitation.

Choose New trigger, enter a name and an internal description, then select the trigger type. Configure the fields shown for that type, such as a delay, page path, returning-visitor requirement, or exit intent. Triggers stay silent when no operator is online unless you explicitly enable Fire when no operators are online. The message editor can insert the visitor name, current page, operator name, or organization name.

Use a specific message such as “Need help choosing a plan?” instead of a generic “Can we help?”. For a pricing-page invitation, set the exact path and a delay that gives the visitor time to read. Keep the trigger enabled only after checking the page, timing, and message in staging.

Start with one trigger on a high-intent page. Compare conversations and dismissals for a week before adding another one.
