Get started in one afternoon

A practical first run through your Convor workspace, inbox, and team setup.

Setting up Convor for the first time? Start here. You'll see which conversations need attention, open a real thread, and give teammates their own accounts before inviting customers to use the widget.

1. Check the workspace

After signing in, the dashboard shows active conversations, response time, unassigned work and online operators. It's a snapshot. To see what needs doing, open the inbox and look at the current queue rather than guessing from the total number of active threads.

The Convor Shop demonstration shows conversation activity and the current operator availability.

2. Open the inbox

Open Conversations, then choose Needs reply from the selector above the thread list. That's your starting queue. Unassigned shows work with no owner, while Mine shows threads assigned to you. Open a conversation to inspect the visitor's history, change its priority and write an answer without leaving the inbox.

Select Needs reply in the queue switcher above the conversation list.

3. Decide whether you need more content languages

You do not need to choose a language just to start using Convor. A new site has one neutral Default content version and its editors stay simple. Configure languages only when the same site needs additional versions or when you want to label the existing Default content with its actual language.

See Manage content languages before translating widget copy, knowledge-base articles, or automation messages.

4. Invite the team

Open Team and choose Invite Operator. On the invitation page, enter a work email and choose Operator for someone who answers conversations or Admin for someone who also manages workspace settings. The invitation is safe to send before the widget is live: the person can accept it later.

Open Team and choose Invite Operator.

Find the queue that needs attention

Start with Needs reply when you begin your shift. Unassigned helps you spot conversations that nobody has picked up, while Mine shows the threads assigned to you. Some active conversations are waiting for the visitor and don't need a new reply yet. The switcher above the list makes these distinctions easier than watching Active all day.

A sensible first check

Before inviting customers to use your widget, test the whole journey. Send a message from a separate browser session, find it under Needs reply, assign it to an operator, answer and close the thread. If it never reaches the inbox, investigate the installation first.
