Discord Integration

Connect Discord to receive conversation alerts, share transcripts, and check delivery activity for your Convor site.

Connect Discord to send conversation alerts and share transcripts with your team. Settings apply to the selected Convor site.

No webhook or bot token required

Convor owns and operates the Discord application. Authorize the bot and choose channels. You do not need to create a bot or paste its token.

Prerequisites

  • Permission to add applications to the Discord server
  • View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links permissions for the Convor bot in notification channels
  • Attach Files permission in channels that should receive transcripts
  • Administrator access to Convor
  • The Workflows & Collaboration integration module

Connect Discord

  1. Open Integrations → Discord in Convor.
  2. Click Connect Discord.
  3. Select the server and approve the requested bot permissions.
  4. Under Notification channels, choose a Channel.
  5. Select its events and Notification language, then click Add channel. Use Save when editing an existing channel.
  6. Use Check connection to verify access. Use Send test beside a saved channel to post a test message there.

Convor lists text and announcement channels the bot can access. A channel can have permission to receive alerts while still needing Attach Files permission for transcripts.

Message text is off by default. Enable Include visitor message text in Discord alerts for a channel only when its members should see that content: new-message alerts can then include up to 240 characters from the visitor message that triggered them. Internal notes and imported message history are excluded from these previews.

Available events

  • New conversation
  • New message
  • Conversation assigned
  • SLA breach
  • AI handoff

Share a transcript

  1. Open More actions in a conversation and choose Send Transcript.
  2. Select Discord, then choose a Discord channel configured for the current site.
  3. Choose the Transcript language and click Share transcript.

With Conversation language (automatic), Convor uses Polish for Polish-language conversations and English otherwise. You can also select either language yourself.

Check the destination before sharing. Channel members gain access to the exported text, which excludes internal notes, deleted messages and messages that were not sent. Large transcripts are shortened, with a note in the file. The bot needs Attach Files permission on the selected channel.

Check delivery activity

Discord delivery activity shows results from the last seven days. Unconfirmed deliveries stay visible until resolved, even after that window, so you can investigate a response that Discord did not confirm without losing track of it.

Check the Discord channel first. Choose Mark delivered if the alert or file arrived, or Mark not delivered if it did not, then confirm that you checked the destination before saving the result. These actions don't send another copy. Convor blocks automatic retries while delivery is unconfirmed.

Troubleshooting

  • Server not available: confirm that you can manage applications on it.
  • Channel not listed: grant the bot View Channel permission.
  • Message cannot be sent: grant Send Messages and Embed Links permissions.
  • Transcript unavailable: configure a destination channel and grant Attach Files permission there.
  • Bot was removed: reconnect Discord from Convor.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect to remove this site's connection and channel settings while keeping the bot in Discord and other Convor sites connected. A server administrator can remove the bot in Discord. Existing Discord messages remain.
