GitHub Integration
Install the Convor GitHub App, select a repository, and create issues from support conversations.
Connect GitHub to create repository issues from support conversations. Settings apply to the selected Convor site.
No personal access token required
Convor uses a GitHub App installation. Choose the account and repositories it may access, without generating or pasting a PAT.
Prerequisites
- Permission to install GitHub Apps on the target user account or organization
- Access to the target repository
- Permission to create issues
- Administrator access to Convor
- The Workflows & Collaboration integration module
Connect GitHub
- Open Integrations → GitHub in Convor.
- Click Connect GitHub and approve GitHub authorization.
- Choose an available installation and click Use this installation. If needed, choose Install GitHub App in another account and grant access to the required repositories.
- Return to Convor and choose the default Repository.
- Click Save selection, then Check connection.
Convor generates short-lived installation tokens when needed. You do not need a personal access token.

Troubleshooting
- Repository not listed: update the GitHub App installation and grant that repository.
- Issue creation fails: confirm Issues are enabled and the app has access.
- Installation belongs to another account: reinstall the app for the correct account or organization.
- Access was suspended or removed: reconnect GitHub from Convor.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect to remove this site's connection. The GitHub App stays installed, and other Convor sites keep their connections. To remove the app from the GitHub account or organization, uninstall it in GitHub after checking whether other Convor sites still depend on that installation. Existing issues remain.
