Facebook Messenger Integration

Connect a Facebook Page to Convor so incoming Messenger messages appear in your shared inbox and operators can reply without switching to Facebook.

Prerequisites

• A Facebook account with sufficient access to manage the Page
• A published Facebook Page
• Permission to grant Convor access to the Page and its Messenger conversations
• Administrator access to your Convor organization
• A Convor plan that includes the Messenger integration

Connect a Facebook Page

1. In the Convor dashboard, open Integrations and select Facebook Messenger.
2. Click Connect Facebook Page.
3. Continue to Meta and sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page.
4. Review and approve the permissions requested by Convor.
5. Return to Convor and choose the Page whose Messenger conversations you want to connect.
6. Click Connect this Page.
7. Use Validate connection to confirm that Convor can still access the Page.

If you manage several Pages, Convor shows only the Pages included in the authorization. Use Authorize again to grant access to another Page.

What Convor configures automatically

After you choose a Page, Convor:

• stores the Page access token securely and encrypted
• subscribes the Convor Meta app to the Page's Messenger events
• verifies incoming Meta webhook signatures
• routes inbound messages to the correct Convor organization
• sends operator replies through the connected Page

None of these platform credentials are displayed in the dashboard.

Optional behavior

You can configure an optional greeting and automatic reply after the Page is connected. These settings control Convor's behavior; they do not change your Facebook Page settings.

Troubleshooting

The Page is not listed

Confirm that the Facebook account used during authorization can manage the Page. Then click Authorize again, include the Page in the access selection, and approve all requested permissions.

Authorization was cancelled or failed

Start the connection again and complete the Meta dialog without closing the window. Browser privacy extensions can interfere with Meta's authorization pages; temporarily allow Meta domains if the dialog does not open or finish.

Messages stopped arriving

Open the integration and run Validate connection. If validation fails, reconnect the Page. This is commonly required after Page access is removed, the authorizing Facebook account loses its role, or permissions are revoked in Meta settings.

The Page is connected to another organization

A Facebook Page can be connected to only one Convor organization at a time because every inbound message must have one unambiguous destination. Disconnect it from the other organization first.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the integration page. Convor removes the organization connection and attempts to unsubscribe the Page from Convor's Meta app. Existing conversation history remains in Convor, but new Messenger messages are no longer imported.
