Facebook Messenger: connect a Page and answer customers
Authorize a Facebook Page, configure its first reply and verify message delivery in Convor.
A customer writes to TopSoft4U on Facebook. After connecting its Page, Messenger messages can arrive in the shared Convor inbox alongside website conversations, where operators can reply and hand a case to a teammate. You need permission to manage the actual Facebook Page. Check which business owns it before authorizing Convor.
Connect the Facebook Page
Find Facebook Messenger in the Integrations catalog and choose Configure. On its setup page, select Connect Facebook Page. Convor starts Meta authorization. Grant the requested access to the Page whose conversations your team should handle. On returning to Convor, use Choose a Facebook Page and select the right business. If you administer both Convor and TopSoft4U, confirm the Page name rather than selecting the first available entry.
Configure the first reply
Once connected, enter a Message and choose whether Send this message automatically should be enabled. The message belongs to a customer's first contact, rather than being sent on every reply. If the AI Agent responds first, the welcome message is suppressed to avoid repeating the greeting. Check how this interacts with Rules before enabling more automation.
Verify delivery and assignment
Use Check connection. Then send a test message from a separate Facebook account and open Conversations. Select Messenger in the channel filter, assign the new thread and send an operator reply. If it does not arrive, review Meta Page permissions, the selected Convor site and the status of the connection. Selecting Messenger in Knowledge alone cannot establish an account connection.
Reauthorize or disconnect
If Page permissions change, select Authorize again. Disconnect removes the channel's current connection. Before disconnecting, review who owns ongoing customer threads so a handoff does not get lost. Rules scoped to Messenger remain settings in Convor, but a disconnected Page will no longer deliver new messages.
