Use visitor filters, profiles, and merge tools to understand activity and keep duplicate records under control.
The visitor list is a quick signal, not a complete customer record. Use it to decide where to look next, then open the profile when a conversation needs more context.
Open Visitors to see identity, location, browser and operating system, visit count, last activity, status, conversation count, and tags in one table. Use the email address to distinguish known visitors from anonymous sessions. The seed data uses example.test addresses, so the screenshots are safe to reproduce.

Select visitor checkboxes to open the bulk action bar. You can add or remove a tag, block or unblock the selected profiles, or merge duplicates. Keep the selection limited to records you have already compared; bulk actions affect every selected profile.

Select at least two profiles and choose Merge. In the confirmation dialog, choose the profile to keep. Conversations, visitor messages, CSAT, surveys, activity, notes, tags, page history, session totals, and any blocked state are moved or combined into that target. The other selected profiles are deleted, and the operation cannot be undone.

Check the names, emails, and conversation history before confirming. When the identity is uncertain, leave the profiles separate.
Use the status and blocked-state selectors first, then open Filters to limit the list by minimum or maximum visit count. Selecting a tag in the table filters the list to that tag. Export only after applying the same search and filters you intend to share.

Select a row to open Visitor Details. The profile shows the visitor identity, location, device, sessions, conversation history, tags, and internal notes. Read the history before asking the visitor to repeat information.

Do not copy private data into a public tutorial. Keep examples on example.test and replace them with your own values only inside your workspace.
